Each volunteer will receive a FREE ticket to attend the scheduled seminar at the event which is from 7-8:30pm, normally $10-15, see information on the speaker below. Please respond if you are available to volunteer. Expo Speaker: “The human spirit is an evolutionary accomplishment of the brain…” The Human Body / The Human Spirit & the Future of Health Care Speech & Talk back by Sherwin Nuland, MD FACS Tuesday, February 9, 2010 7:00 p.m. Fountain Street Church Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the door and are available at Schuler Books Dr. Sherwin Nuland is a Clinical Professor of Surgery at Yale and is recognized as one of the world’s foremost authorities on the history and ethics of medicine. He is author of a dozen books, including the best seller How We Die, which won the National Book Award and made Nuland a Pulitzer Prize finalist. Some of his other books include The Wisdom of the Body, The Art of Aging, The Soul of Medicine, and others. This is the inaugural event of the newly chartered Duncan Littlefair Great Speakers Series. | |
